2026 Opening Assembly
On Friday 30 January, our College community came together for our Opening Assembly, marking the official start of the school year. It was wonderful to hear from Principal, Mr Brett Van Berkel, as he delivered his first address to the College, setting an inspiring tone for the year ahead.
Our Year 12 students formed a Guard of Honour to warmly welcome our new Year 7 students, a meaningful tradition that included the ringing of the Sion Bell by our College Captains, Abdul and Gemma.
We also proudly recognised student achievement, with Ruby Scholtes receiving the CDF Father James Wall Bursary, and Claire Ingram being awarded the Rotary Club Award.
The assembly celebrated the dedication of our 2025 90s Club, who were presented with well-earned certificates. A special highlight was a video message from our 2025 DUX, Madison Jones, who shared inspiring reflections on her Year 12 journey at the College.
The morning concluded with the presentation of badges to our 2026 College Captains, House Captains, and Year 12 students, acknowledging their leadership roles for the year ahead.
It was a fantastic way to kick off 2026 — here’s to an exciting year ahead!
