Exam Timetable Unit 3/4 Trial Exams September 2025

As you would be aware, the end of the year for Year 12 students and, Year 11 students, completing a Unit 3-4 sequence is rapidly approaching. As a part of their preparation for end of year exams, trial examinations will be held for students during the second week of the upcoming school holidays during the period Monday 29^th September – Thursday 2^nd October (inclusive). These exams will be held at St. Mary’s Hall and will be supervised by VCAA Supervisors. They will provide a valuable learning and preparatory experience for students. In addition, it will enable them to focus on any areas that need improvement for the extremely short amount of time available in Term 4.

The College would like to make these exams compulsory but acknowledges that they fall during a school holiday period.  While the exams themselves are not set by the final examiners, they are set by experienced teachers that have monitored the final examination process for many years.   The trial exams are a significant signpost for final revision and consistently improve student performance and focus.  It is difficult to understand why any student who wishes to perform at their very best would miss this opportunity without a significant reason. The College strongly recommends that all students enrolled in a unit 3-4 sequence, including Year 11 students, attend these trial exams sponsored by the College.

The exam timetable can be accessed below. Please note that the session times differ most days, students will need to note the starting time of each exam session that applies.

It is impossible to schedule exams over a four day period and not have any students with clashes. Students will need to email Kristine Morrison kmorrison@ccsale.catholic.edu.au by Thursday 18th September to negotiate their exam clash. Students can only reschedule an exam if they have a legitimate exam clash.

School buses will not be in operation during the school holidays, students will be required to organise their own transport to and from their exams.

Please note that school uniform does not have to be worn during these trial examinations.
