Catholic College Sale student awarded top honours

Catholic College Sale are thrilled to announce the exceptional achievements of Sebastian Moore (DUX 2022), who has been honoured with the prestigious Premier’s VCE Award for his outstanding academic performance in 2022. Sebastian’s unwavering commitment to excellence and scholarly prowess have earned him this distinguished accolade for Extended Investigation.

Director of Senior Studies, Mr Ken Holmes said, “Sebastian was a diligent student who approached his Extended Investigation report with a great deal of enthusiasm. He conducted extensive research on the topic of “What Influenced the Ambiguous Representation of the Male Form in Renaissance Portraiture?”

Demonstrating a remarkable depth of research and enthusiasm, Sebastian submitted an outstanding report on his research question. Mr Holmes praised Sebastian’s diligence and exceptional efforts that led to this remarkable achievement.

The Premier’s VCE Awards celebrate the top-performing students in the state. This year, Sebastian stands among 300 accomplished students across 88 subjects, all applauded for their exceptional results.

A momentous occasion, Sebastian’s achievement marks a significant milestone for Catholic College Sale as he becomes the first student from the College to receive this prestigious honour. Deputy Principal Ms Cindy Foat said, “The entire Catholic College Sale community is extremely proud of Sebastian and we would like to congratulate him on being the recipient of such a prestigious award.”

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, Sebastian’s journey continues to be one of inspiration and promise. We wish him continued success in all his future endeavours.
