Marist Cricket 2022

This year, Catholic College Sale will travel to Bendigo from December 4 to 9 to compete in the 48th Australasian Marist Cricket Carnival. Games will be played in 50-over format on turf wickets around Bendigo. CCS will compete against the following schools: Marcellin College Bulleen (VIC), Lavalla Catholic College Traralgon (VIC), St. Joseph’s Hunter’s Hill (NSW) and the host school Marist College Bendigo.

The team will be captained by Jay Diamond, with Ashton Wright and Hayden Wrigglesworth acting as co-vice captains. Other members of the team include; Tyson Dobson, Jos Dimarco, Cooper Lett, Max Stobie, Madix Grattan, Matt Murphy, Josh Wells, Jack Cantwell, Harry Tatterson & Jimmy Love. Including this year’s team, the College has had 370 students act as Marist Cricket representatives since 1975. Mr. Chris Smart and Mr. Danny Butcher will coach the side, with Mr. Jamie Murphy acting as Team Manager.

Prior to the Carnival, CCS will take part in a practice match against Lavalla CC on Monday 28 November. The match will commence around 2pm, 34- overs a side, with light refreshments after.
