Medieval Day

To complement their Humanities studies, the Year 8’s this year participated in a Medieval Day, held on Friday 14th of June. A series of workshops took place, enabling students to learn different skills and deepen their knowledge of the life and times of those living in the Middle Ages. Staff and students were encouraged to dress to the theme, resulting in some fantastic costumes! The workshops included – Banquet cooking, wooden shield making, weapon and armour making using cardboard, duct tape and foam, floral head pieces, coat of arms design, mini trebuchet making, medieval games, tapestry and poultice making.
