Students Shine at the 2026 Sale Eisteddfod
What a phenomenal week it has been for Catholic College Sale at the 2026 Sale Eisteddfod!
After months of preparation and rehearsals since the beginning of the year, CCS students took to the stage across three huge days of competition in what has been one of the largest contingents of Catholic College Sale performers to attend the Eisteddfod across Soloists, Choirs, Ensembles and Rock Bands.
Throughout the week, students competed in Choirs, Rock Bands, Guitar Ensembles, Piano Sections, Vocal Solos, Duets, Trios and Championship events — achieving incredible results against highly competitive fields while representing the College with pride, professionalism and outstanding musicianship.
Day 1 saw powerhouse performances from Show Choir, Sion Singers, Male Vocals Crew, STRIKE-238, the Junior Rock Band and the Guitar Ensemble, with CCS students performing everything from Outkast and Kelly Clarkson through to Metallica, AC/DC and Simon & Garfunkel. The energy throughout the Memorial Hall was electric, with multiple ensemble victories and standing-room excitement across the day.
Day 2 shifted the focus to Piano Sections, where Amelia Jinesh impressed adjudicators across several heavily contested events, achieving outstanding results in both solo and championship performances.
Day 3 then saw a standout showing from CCS Vocalists, with students competing in Solo, Stage & Film, Duet/Trio and Championship sections. Performers including Amelia Jinesh, Aiden Ryan, Lachlan Marsh, Maggie Brennan, Willow Goode, Lilly Monck and Kobi Scicluna delivered emotional, entertaining and technically impressive performances across an exhausting but hugely successful day of competition.
Beyond the trophies and placings, the most impressive aspect of the week was the support students showed one another — helping backstage, assisting with equipment, conducting choirs, encouraging younger performers and embracing every opportunity to perform.
A huge thank you to all staff, accompanists, helpers and families who supported our students throughout the week. The CCS Music Department could not be prouder of what these students achieved.
